As a master with the parrot or parrot master a group of unidentified Flemish painter is referred to, who operated around 1520 or 1530 probably in Antwerp a joint workshop.

The distress was first given to the painter of several panel paintings of Mary with the Jesus boy, on which the child feeds a parrot. This master was then assigned in the art history more works. Recent research suggested now that this is not a single individual painter, but rather to a workshop with several artists, edited the common themes for the emerging market in their time of devotional pictures for the middle class.

The style and working methods of the masters with the parrot are reminiscent of works by the master of the female half-figures or other Flemish painters such as Ambrosius Benson . More on Master with the parrot
